The Front-End Developer/Designer will create new templates/modifications to existing templates based on Photoshop mockups and/or business requirement documents; write, modify, and debug CSS, HTML, and JavaScript code; and integrate PHP into custom templates. This person will work with a team of developers writing new functionality, cleaning up and optimizing existing code and documenting the system.  This includes the development, maintenance, execution, and production of all marketing materials (Websites, Landing Pages, Online Ads, HTML Emails, E-Newsletters, Flash/AVI/MPEG videos, Brochures, and Microsites) ensuring that marketing objectives are met and that all projects are completed accurately and on schedule.  The Front-End Developer/Designer will work with the in-house creative team, off-site vendors, and our Marketing Team to ensure maximum quality, consistency and accuracy.


Principle Responsibilities


The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:


  • Interface with marketing, IT, and creative team to understand concepts and facilitate production of marketing objectives
  • Work on front-end content and media applications
  • Elegantly design, develop, and support standards-compliant user interfaces and front-end code
  • Review and proof each stage of the production life cycle to check for accuracy and consistency, ensuring that all copy, design, and programming objectives are met  
  • Evangelize Web interaction design best practices 
  • Understand business goals, develop innovative solutions, and identify issues and risks
  • Participate in application deployment and maintenance releases 
  • Evaluate and respond to change requests and bug tickets  
  • Communicate status and identify issues affecting overall ability to complete tasks within agreed schedules in a timely manner
  • Update, edit, resize, offline media (print ads, brochures, and direct mail) as needed
