Our client, a very stable, growing, employee oriented company is in search of a .Net programmer Analyst or Senior Programmer



The Senior Programmer will design, develop, and assist in ongoing support of our Microsoft Windows based applications. The position requires a high degree of competency in application development.



The Senior Programmer is expected to be a self-motivated, self-learner who remains conversant with relevant emergent technologies. This person will work in collaboration with the Application Development Manager to research, recommend, and implement new technologies as appropriate to ensure the company’s technology is best positioned to implement its business initiatives.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



1. Architectural design and development of external and internal websites.

2. Architectural design and development of desktop and batch processing applications (related to order fulfillment, system interfaces, etc.)

3. Ongoing research, recommendations and implementation of technological updates to software development tools (i.e. SQL server and Visual Studio) and enhancements to current applications and processes (i.e. EDI order processing system).





4. Coordinate with network administrators to plan application infrastructure upgrades and monitor application performance.

5. Day-to-day maintenance of websites including data integrity and security management. Also ensuring that site content is updated in a timely manner.





6. Mentoring and training IT department on website development and maintenance, SQL database programming, new development tools and other system/infrastructure updates.

7. Creates project plans, prototypes and/or functional specifications for software projects.

8. Develops and assists in project planning, documentation, and user guide creation as needed.

9. Collaborates with Application Development Manager to create technical standards for the IT Windows programmers to follow.
