  • Reporting to the Group President of NBC Sports Group, this position will lead NBC Sports Regional Networks public relations, communications and local media management function by developing and implementing strategies to generate positive press for NBC Sports Regional Networks Group and its 14 regional sports networks.
  • Collaborate with NBC Sports Group and NBCUniversal communication leaders to maintain consistent vision and PR strategy where appropriate across our properties. This position will have a dotted line reporting structure to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications of NBC Sports Group.
  • Create coverage opportunities showcasing NBC Sports Regional Networks’ key initiatives and assets including new network launches, programming, digital media initiatives, talent and personalities and aggressively pitch them to local and national media outlets. Manage and respond to media inquiries.
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with the media and key network stakeholders including teams, leagues and other current and future business partners. Work with affiliate marketing and ad sales personnel to coordinate public relations activities with promotional and sales activities.
  • Advise on and approve network-level communications strategies for NBC Sports Regional Networks’ affiliated networks
  • Provide communications counsel to senior NBC Sports Regional Networks and affiliated network executives, including message formulation, crisis response and media training.
  • Formulate social media communications strategies to increase the reach of NBC Sports Regional Networks’ initiatives. Advise and manage NBC Sports Regional Networks and network-level social media activities.
  • Serve as senior NBC Sports Regional Networks corporate affairs officer to manage NBC Sports Regional Networks’ corporate and community activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
